I'm Here.

"Wait!"

Kairi came to a stop a couple of steps away from the hooded man. Even if his face was hidden, she definitely knew it was him. Kairi couldn't hide her excitement that she finally found one of her best friends after so many months, which felt like so many years, of waiting. She slowly approached him while holding her breath. She didn't know why, but it was too good to be true. Riku, her best friend who went through so much pain for her to get her heart back, was finally standing right in front of her with nothing in between them. One tear slowly made its way down her cheek as she smiled warmly up at him.

"Riku... You're really here...?"

She stood on her tip toes and gently pulled his hood down, revealing those beautiful aquamarine eyes and jagged silver hair she knew. From then on, she couldn't stop the trail of tears coming down her face as she reached out and cupped his cheek.

"R-Riku!" she cried.

Without saying anything, he pulled her to a tight embrace, wishing he'll never have to let her go. He ran his fingers through her soft auburn hair that he remembered was short but it was now passed her shoulders. He laid his head on her shoulder and sighed. He too couldn't believe this was happening. The girl he sacrificed so much for was here, safe in his arms.

"I'm here, Kairi," Riku said softly. "I'm here."



HAPPY RIKU x KAIRI DAY!

This is how I imagine how their reunion would be like when they finally met again in the World That Never Was. But no, Xehanort's ugly face had to completely ruin everything and shatter my dream of their happy reunion.

I didn't have time to draw for RiKai Day 'cuz of soooo many exams I've been encountering for the pass few weeks. ; A ; So I made a quick MMD picture to show my appreciation for RiKai. I'll be doing a RiKai art very soon!

This would look so much better if he was wearing the Organization XIII coat but this is close enough. c:
